Satisfying simplicity is always a tricky balancing act. The Birch room is deliberately stripped back - a welcome break from the noise of the outside world, and a place for focus and calm.

The Birch room is a place for work and pleasure. In here you’ll find a long wooden table fashioned from one single slab. Hang your clothes on the specially made brass bars suspended from the ceiling and enjoy the tactility of items from Swedish Skulptuna.

Birch is a large double room (bed: 180cm) with a comfy chair, two windows looking out over the Cairngorm mountains beyond, and a large writing desk. Guests have use of a large bathroom. Guests in the Birch room have use of the whole house, including our honesty bar. Breakfast and a hearty supper is included in the nightly room rate.
