Confirmation and Cancellation

We are delighted to confirm your booking for rooms in the farmhouse and the Hayloft with full payment. For exclusive use and bookings in the cottages, we ask for a 50% deposit to secure your booking, followed by full payment at least one month in advance of your arrival. If your arrival date is less than one month at the time of booking, we will ask for the full amount to confirm your stay with us.

When you make a booking with us, you are entitled to a full refund if a cancellation is made outwith 14 days of your scheduled arrival date. However, in the event of cancellation by you within 14 days of your schedule arrival date or non-attendance, without notice, you will be charged in full.

Any pre-paid extras made with a cancelled booking will also be charged in full regardless of when the cancellation is made. We reserve the right to exercise our discretion when considering the reasons for your cancellation.

If you are concerned about the likelihood of cancelling your reservation on short notice, you should also consider taking out travel insurance.

Please check that the details of your reservation are complete and accurate before you confirm your reservation with us. Unfortunately, we will not be liable for any delay or non-performance if you provide us with incorrect information (but we will do our best to assist you).

We will confirm our acceptance of your reservation and payment by sending you an email to the email address that you provide during the reservation process. The contract between us for the provision of your accommodation and any additional services added to your reservation will be formed when you receive this email confirmation from us.

If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss.

Arriving and departing

You are welcome to arrive from 3pm on the first day of your stay, and depart at 11am when you leave us. Please be assured that if you need to extend your departure time as a farmhouse guest, you are very welcome to relax in the public rooms.

Ample parking is available at the farmhouse. If your party is arriving by coach or another heavy vehicle, please do let us know so we can make arrangements.

Smoking and pets

Smoking is not permitted in any of our buildings. Dogs are welcome in the cottages and in the Hayloft, however we cannot accommodate dogs in the farmhouse. We are afraid we do not allow any other pets.

Children

Families with young children are very welcome to stay in our self-catering cottages. For the comfort of other guests, we do not allow children under the age of ten in the farmhouse or the Hayloft.

Using the Internet

Guests may make use of Killiehuntly’s complimentary wifi for reasonable and appropriate purposes, subject always to access and downloads being lawful, proportionate and not excessive. Wifi passwords are available in the rooms, or feel free to ask a member of our team.
